Australia and New Zealand’s largest group of independent electrical wholesalers
For more than three decades, Gemcell has helped level the playing field for independent electrical wholesalers by creating the collective buying power to rival global, foreign-owned conglomerates.
That means our members – independent electrical wholesalers – have access to competitive pricing and buying agreements from high-quality suppliers from across the globe. And, in turn, can provide quality products to electrical contractors.
However, Gemcell members don’t just provide quality products. Every Gemcell member is a 100% independent, locally owned and operated business, which prides itself on great service, knowledgeable staff and always going the extra mile to ensure contractors have exactly what they need, when they need it.
Gemcell members play pivotal roles in their communities too. As well as creating local employment opportunities, Gemcell members are frequently involved in community activities and regularly support local community events and initiatives.
Owner, Les Barnett Electrical Services
Gordon Macdonald Electrical can source any products from all around Australia and Europe, at a competitive price. Once, John Van Eck (Gordon’s son-in-law), drove the 60kms from Wollongong to Sydney to pick up spare parts from a supplier in order to assist us to complete an urgent breakdown repair the following day.
Owner, Crowy’s Electrical
There have been many late Friday afternoon saves that GCM has pulled off for me. Shout out to Tony. He loves taking those calls. The biggest standout was a huge quote that I was late on. I called at 2pm and they had numbers back to me within two hours. And a full quote done by the morning. I really appreciated how much they cared, to put that effort in and get that done for us.
