Rovert is an independent, Australian-owned family business established in Newcastle by Trevor Bull in 1965, and is a founding member of Gemcell Australia. Initially, Rovert specialised in electrical cable for house wiring, before expanding into electrical wholesaling and merging lighting into the business in 1979.
In 1972, the Coffs Harbour branch was opened, servicing northern NSW to QLD, followed by Port Macquarie in 1979, and Toronto in 1993. In 2005 the company expanded with the acquisition of the Harvey Norman lighting store at Erina on the NSW Central Coast, and in 2007 joined the brand new Hunter Supa Centreat Rutherford in the lower Hunter region.
Rovert’s demographic region covers NSW from the Hawkesbury River (30min north of Sydney) through to the NSW/QLD border, and employs more than 80 staff members.
