The PyroPIP™ Fire Safe Power Point is an Australian invention and the next generation GPO that prevents fires before they start.
Using PyroPIP’s patented high resistance connection detection technology, the power point will protect homes, buildings and businesses from the dangers of overloaded sockets. It will also protect from poor electrical high resistance connections, which causes overheating of the power point; one of the leading causes of electrical fires in Australia.
When abnormal heat or resistance is detected, the PyroPIP™ socket automatically activates the circuit’s Safety Switch (RCBO), cutting power to the problem circuit before smoke or ignition occurs.
