PyroPIP™ Fire Safe Power Point

The PyroPIP™ Fire Safe Power Point is an Australian invention and the next generation GPO that prevents fires before they start.

Using PyroPIP’s patented high resistance connection detection technology, the power point will protect homes, buildings and businesses from the dangers of overloaded sockets. It will also protect from poor electrical high resistance connections, which causes overheating of the power point; one of the leading causes of electrical fires in Australia.

When abnormal heat or resistance is detected, the PyroPIP™ socket automatically
activates the circuit’s Safety Switch (RCBO), cutting power to the problem circuit
before smoke or ignition occurs.

The PyroPIP™ Fire Safe Power Point is perfect for any electrical power outlet situation that has a safety switch protecting the circuit. Ideal for homes and apartments, aged care facilities, commercial buildings and enhances insurance-led fire safety programmes. It is built to AS/NZS standards on a 10A double pole platform, made from UL 94 V-0 rated polycarbonate and installs like a standard double power point.

PyroPIP™ technology prevents electrical fires at the earliest stage, protecting property and occupants automatically. It reduces the insurance risk and liability with no change to the wiring or switchboard, if a safety switch is already installed in the circuit.
